Kids And Opera Do Mix Well!

“Bravo! Brava,” we exclaimed while being delighted this past Friday morning by FBN Productions’ “Jack and the Beanstalk” at Village Square Theatre. Remarkably, Lexington County Arts Association sponsored this charming operatic version of the familiar tale free to the public! The music was by Gilbert & Sullivan, and John Davies adapted the story in an entertaining way in order to teach the Golden Rule. The four vocalists for the opera were even kind enough to take questions from the audience after the conclusion of the performance.
I encourage anyone in public office to look for ways to support potential FBN productions in the future and planned productions through Village Square Theatre.
